About Me!

Carl Henderson Awesomely Organized Solutions

Career Focus

As a Project Manager, I constantly need to learn new things. Things that the people I am managing take for granted. This enables me to communicate the project needs in the language common to the task, while being able to translate that knowledge to other disciplines. My technical skills are getting broader, instead of sharper. My management skills are being refined, though sometimes by the blunt force of get it right or else.

Good communication skills are probably the most important ability to possess. My biggest specialty is being able to listen to others and hear what they say, and what they want. I try to keep things simple, and let the conversation grow from both sides. In the end, I want the other person to know that I am working to understand the problem and that I want to help with a solution. At the same time I am not afraid to tell the client I believe he is wrong, though I do everything in my power to educate them and guide them toward the right.

I have supported, and will continue to support, the services so needed by pipelines, plants, refineries, and production facilities. With a history in technical writing, hazards analysis, maintenance management, and computer systems I can tie together best of breed information with best of breed services to give a system that is usable. I am well grounded in regulatory compliance, especially 49CFR192, 49CFR195 and 29CFR1910 interpretation and execution.

I have a well-grounded understanding of Maximo EAM, with expansion in both older and newer versions for data migration and cleansing. With this well spread knowledge, I can troubleshoot most matters, correct the situation and educate the users to work around the issue.

As a Maximo Implementer there are two basic choices, learn a little about each module and how it should work, or learn a specific module extensively. There is too much to encompass in top shelf Asset Management software to know it all.
